Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
This monitor will record multiple blood pressure readings throughout the day and night. It is very helpful in determining maximal – lowest – average blood pressure readings.
Its primary indication is to evaluate multiple blood pressure measurements in patients
with “White Coat Hypertension” , labile or borderline high blood pressures.
The monitor is used by Dr.Villafane only in selected cases. It is not very helpful in the younger patients as they usually will not tolerate wearing the blood pressure cuff and monitor for long periods of time.
